When the storm came to a short break, I found our La Crosse outdoor clock hanging on our patio wall had fallen to the concrete block floor. The glass was not broken but water had penetrated and the minute hand had come off, and it was no longer working. <br /> <br />Transferring the poor clock to our garage workbench, I carefully disassembled the clock and removed moisture, then restored the minute hand. I replaced the battery with a fresh one, and then, believe or not, the clock reset itself to the starting position (12:00) and later started ticking correct time. Although the outer metal frame had a few minor dents, the clock was absolutely ready to be used again. <br /> <br />Bottom line is, the front glass is installed with a rubber seal, but it did not work well. The larger size not only makes it easier to read but the style is very trendy. It is durable, accurate and quiet.
